                                   एक अटल सी छवि एक  अटल सी छवि , है अटल के स्वभाव में। कुछ उसके अंदाज़ में,  है, अटल सी  छवि। क्या वह है, सिर्फ, शब्दों का जादू ? या, मनोहर व्यक्तित्व, दृढ़ता का मेल? या रचनाकार की राजनैतिक कवित, मरणोपरांत, जो अडिग अमर है। हाँ, यह वही है, जिसकी 'मौत से ठनी है'। वः 'गीतों ' का धनी है, जिसकी अटल सी छवि है । ये कैसी छवि है? जीवन प्रतिबिम्भ में, जो लगती 'मृत्यु से बड़ी है'। इतिहास की प्रबल कड़ी है, गरजति, बरसती आवाज़ एक वही है, अटल जिसकी छवि है। पर, अब साँझ हो चली है, देह, मृत शरीर है, मौन सी पड़ी, अब अंत से मिली है, अब अग्नि की घड़ी है, फिर भी....एक अटल सी छवि.....मन में बसी है।                                                                       ...

Untangled 🕊️

Untangled 🕊️ Scrolling through a slew of Instagram posts yesterday evening...came across a recent video of a policeman, on duty, saving a pigeon, entangled between some sharp strings. The cop managed to get on top of his car, save the pigeon (it didn't just stop at that), and rushed it to a veterinary hospital. Clearly, a gesture out of the way and not in KRAs of the cop. As the evening slipped into night, and new dawn emerged, some visuals kept juxtaposing in the mind.  Throwback to memory, over a couple of decades old, of a man strangling two innocent sparrows with a rope, as a thing of amusement and show-off. Years passed, but the visual stayed. So did the disgust, repulsion to this inhuman. In a strange way, nature completed the circle. The bird finally got untangled. 🕊️
